Description
We're currently working with a leading London housing provider who are urgently looking for two experienced Building Surveyors to join their team - one within the Damp & Mould team, and one within the Disrepair team.
These roles will play a crucial part in ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and well maintained, supporting the delivery of high-quality repairs and improvement works as part of the Awaab’s Law campaign.
You’ll be out on site conducting inspections, producing detailed technical reports, managing complex works, and liaising closely with contractors, residents, and internal teams to deliver effective solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out detailed building surveys, reports, and recommendations.
- Lead on cases involving damp, mould, or disrepair - ensuring timely resolution.
- Oversee contractors and works on site to maintain quality and compliance.
- Support programme delivery within agreed budgets and timescales.
- Ensure all work meets statutory and health & safety requirements.
Requirements:
- Strong experience as a Building Surveyor in housing or property maintenance.
- Expertise in damp, mould, or disrepair case management.
- Excellent technical reporting and project management skills.
- Knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and housing regulations.
- Relevant qualification (e.g. Building Surveying degree, CIOB, RICS, or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across sites regionally.
Key Details:
- Contract: 4-5 month temporary contract - potential to go permanent for the right person
- Location: Kings Cross | On-site & work from home
- Rates: Circa £300 per day (negotiable, via Umbrella) | £57,393 permanent salary
