Description

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Contract Manager to join our client, a respected local authority based in West London on a temporary basis initially, supporting the effective delivery and management of service contracts.

If you have an eye for detail, want to help ensure our estates are clean and well maintained, and love solving problems, then this may be the position for you.  The Estate Services team is looking for an energetic person with a positive outlook to monitor the estates cleaning and ground maintenance contracts.  You'll previously have contract management experience, being able to work with contractors to deliver a high-quality service that meets resident’s needs. You will also need to be able to advise and support customers in resolving their concerns whilst helping design and provide solutions to improve the delivery of estate services.

Contract Details:

  • Length:3-Months initially
  • Working Arrangement:Hybrid
  • Rates:£232.58 per day PAYE / Up to £350.00 per day Umbrella

 
Key Responsibilities:

You will need to carry out the following duties:
 

  • To ensure the effective contract management of the two estate services contracts for cleaning and grounds maintenance
  • Hold regular monthly contract performance meetings and monitor against SLA agreements and KPI requirements.
  • Line manage a team of contract monitoring officers overseeing the estates cleaning and grounds maintenance contract
  • Lead a team who are responsible for investigating and responding to enquiries and complaints, liaising with residents to address their concerns as well as checking and improving the flow of complaints from a customer perspective 
  • Ensure the team are carrying out on inspections and identifying and suggesting improvements
  • Managing and analysing data to improve contract performance and generate informative management reports
  • Working with stakeholders to resolve problems impacting on current and future service delivery e.g. regeneration projects
  • Monitoring and ensuring a high standard of health and safety is applied to the waste collection and street cleansing contract
  • Delivering a range of projects to improve service delivery for our residents
  • Ensure your actions and decisions align with the Council’s declaration of a climate and ecological emergency.

Skills & Experience Required:
 

  • Experience or ability to manage a customer facing team within a contract management and estate services environment
  • Ability to hold responsibility for performance management, KPI’s and managing a dispersed workforce ensuring staff accountability
  • A strong desire to maintain estate services standards, and customer care
  • Some experience of contract management
  • A positive, motivated, ‘can-do’ approach to work
  • Experience and/or willingness to work across boundaries jointly with others to find solutions
  • Ability to identify and analyse problematic issues (for example, situations affecting estate cleanliness, or contractual, or internal performance), and to devise and take appropriate remedial action to improve and maintain excellent standards
  • Ability to write clear, persuasive, and concise reports requiring minimal editing
  • Strong IT skills including data analysis
  • A genuine interest in the environment, and waste reduction in particular some evening meetings
