The Role

As a Housing Officer Level 2, you will play a key role in delivering an effective, resident-focused housing management service. You’ll take ownership of housing management activity across schemes, ensuring homes and estates are safe, well-maintained, and that residents feel listened to, supported, and informed.  

  • Contract: 6 months minimum - extensions thereafter likely 
  • Pay: 20.84 per hour PAYE | £27.56 per hour Umbrella 
  • Location: Hybrid, Kings Cross office (2 days)

Key Responsibilities

    • Delivering core housing management services including viewings, lettings, void management, and tenancy sustainment
    • Managing rent arrears and debt collection, supporting income recovery
    • Acting as a visible and proactive presence within communities, responding to resident queries and concerns
    • Undertaking estate inspections to ensure high standards, health & safety compliance, and excellent resident experience
    • Coordinating with internal teams and external contractors to resolve repairs, ASB, safeguarding, and compliance issues
    • Managing complaints and disputes with empathy, ensuring outcomes are clearly communicated and documented
    • Supporting performance improvement initiatives and meeting KPIs
    • Carrying out home and estate visits as required
    • Representing the resident voice and taking accountability for issues through to resolution

                    • Proven experience in a Housing Officer role
                    • Strong knowledge of housing management, lettings, and rent recovery
                    • Confident working independently across multiple locations
                    • Excellent communication and organisational skills
                    • Ability to manage a varied caseload in a busy London patch
