Description
We have an urgent requirement for a Housing Officer (Level 2) to join our clients, a large housing association with offices in North & West London.
This role involves supporting residents, managing tenancy issues, and ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard and is working the patch covering Newham/East London.
This is a temporary role covering sick leave for 4 weeks initially with potential to be extended and moved internally to another manager once the cover role is complete paying:
- £20.43 ph PAYE
- £26.85 ph Umbrella
Your Role:
- Be the first point of contact for residents, assisting with tenancy-related enquiries.
- Carry out regular property inspections, ensuring homes meet housing standards.
- Investigate tenancy breaches, such as anti-social behaviour and rent arrears.
- Work closely with external agencies, providing support services to residents.
- Ensure all tenancy agreements comply with current housing regulations.
- Liaise with internal teams, including maintenance and housing management.
- Provide advice on financial support, helping tenants manage rent payments.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in housing management or a related field.
- Knowledge of UK housing legislation and tenancy agreements.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Proficiency in IT systems for case management and reporting.
