Description

We are currently recruiting for 3 x Repairs Officer (Level 3) positions for our client, a prominent G15 housing association. These roles are critical to the Repairs Hub, ensuring that day-to-day repairs are effectively coordinated and progressed while providing a "best-in-class" service for residents.

Key Details: 

  • Pay Rate: £19.54 per hour (PAYE) | £25.84 per hour (Umbrella).
  • Hours: 35 hours per week (9:00 am – 5:00 pm, 1-hour unpaid break).
  • Start Date: 27th May (Strict requirement for induction and training).
  • Interviews: Taking place this week for shortlisted candidates.
  • Work Arrangement: Strictly NO working from home. These are office-based roles.

Locations:

  • 2 roles based in King’s Cross.
  • 1 role based in Hammersmith.

Role Responsibilities

As a Repairs Officer, you will ensure contractors and inspectors provide high-quality service. You will use your diagnostic skills to support responsive repairs and oversee the progression of works within internal systems.

  • Financial & Technical Oversight: Own and administer marketplace activity, including quote review, acceptance, and variance challenges to ensure value for money.
  • Contract Management: Review completed works against specifications before processing payments and managing KPIs in line with Building Safety legislation.
  • Compliance: Maintain a deep understanding of Awaab's Law, Consumer Standards, and Health & Safety policies. 
  • Customer Focus: Act as a resident advocate, addressing enquiries and following up to ensure high satisfaction.

Required Level 3 Expertise

Candidates must possess specific technical knowledge to be considered for these Level 3 positions:

  • SOR Codes: Advanced understanding of Schedule of Rates (SOR) for diagnosing repairs and managing standard rates across contracts.
  • No Access Process: Demonstrated experience applying the standard operating model (3 no-access rule) before closing jobs.
  • Tenure Knowledge: Clear understanding of different housing tenures, including Permanent, Temporary, Leasehold, and Managing Agents, and the specific repair rules associated with each.
  • Systems Experience: Proficiency in developing and running administrative systems and performance monitoring against business targets.
