Description
We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Service Charge Manager to join our clients team, a recently amalgamated housing association based in Wembley. This is a temporary position, offered on a daily PAYE rate of £200-250 PAYE or £300 - £350 Umbrella rate.
This role involves overseeing service charge budget setting, income accounting, and managing a portfolio of approximately 20,000 units with an annual service charge income budget of £18 million.
Your Role:
- Oversee the annual service charge budget for a portfolio of 20,000 units, including 10,000 service charge payers.
- Manage the annual service charge estimate and final account processes, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
- Work collaboratively with senior managers to support service improvements and deliver excellent customer service.
- Maintain robust systems and processes for accurate service charge calculations and reporting.
- Lead and manage a high-performing team to achieve operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven expertise in service charge management, preferably within the housing sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and best practices for service charges.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams.
- Qualified accountant or extensive experience in accounting practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with housing management systems.
