We are pleased to be recruiting for an excellent permanent opportunity as a client side contracts manager within a Planned Works (Asset Management) environment.
Paying circa 42k per annum plus package and based in NW London.
In this role will be responsible for the application of technical knowledge with respect to the inspection and assessment of fire safety (in relation to FRRO 2005), gas safety, electrical safety, and asbestos management and follow up actions.
Also contribution to policy development relating to health and safety and compliance in the Division and the wider group, ensuring that all areas are covered by both legislation and group policies and procedures are adhered to. Compliance with the processes relating to Landlords Statutory Compliance areas including Health and Safety, Asbestos, Gas Safety, Water Management, Fire Risk Assessments and their outcomes, ensuring all statutory obligations is met. While contribution to the management of asbestos in accordance with legislation, council codes of practice and good practice, ensuring that the existing database is sufficient for need and fit for purpose. Also ensuring that all electrical installations across housing assets and housing work streams are to the standards and specifications required, taking necessary action to remedy exceptions.
Contribution to the implementation, development and ongoing maintenance and use of suitable IT systems/databases to support the functions of the team. With provision of an advisory role across all work streams and team functions promoting good relations with other teams, departments and external bodies and partners and influencing the drive towards continuous improvement relating to Health and Safety compliance.
Experience Required
Experience of managing and administrating large and complex contracts delivering high volumes of multidisciplinary repairs to housing, office and other building types. While planning and prioritising rolling programme of repair and replacement for technical stock ?
Experience of project managing planned maintenance and/or major repairs – especially in respect of void works, elemental replacements, etc. ?
Experience of undertaking complex defect diagnoses across building types (including modern methods of construction), building technologies and building services. ?
Experience of managing Fire Risk Assessments and delivering related works. ?
Experience working within risk management systems including mitigations. ?
Understand and experience of represent the organisation externally with key stakeholders such as local authorities, partner agencies and residents groups, and working with and involving resident in the monitoring and shaping of the services.
Education
Building surveying, construction or fire engineering related degree or equivalent.
