We are urgently seeking an experienced Leasehold Admin Officer to join a respected housing association based in Northwest London on a temporary basis initially. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual looking to make an impact in a fast-paced environment – offering the hourly equivalent to £34,649 and hybrid working (2 days in office, 3 days from home).
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in leasehold administration, particularly with a focus on the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, service charges, the 18-month rule, and Section 20 notices. Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and its potential implications on service charges is also highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service Charges Management: Oversee the administration of service charge billing, including calculations, reconciliations, and issuing of demands in compliance with legal requirements.
* Section 20 Consultations: Assist in the coordination and administration of Section 20 consultations, including drafting notices, collating responses, and ensuring compliance with statutory procedures.
* Legal Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, the 18-month rule, the Building Safety Act, and other applicable regulations, ensuring all processes align with legal requirements.
* Leasehold Queries: Address tenant and leaseholder queries related to service charges, consultations, and other leasehold matters promptly and professionally.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records related to leasehold properties, service charge accounts, and any ongoing consultations.
* Collaboration: Work closely with legal, finance, and property management teams to ensure seamless administration of leasehold matters.
