Technical Surveyor

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Technical Surveyor to work for a respected and newly merged Housing Association based in North West London. This is a temporary opportunity (3 months minimum) and is paying £300 per day Umbrella.

The ideal candidate will help to support the Technical Manager in managing and delivering repairs, maintenance, and stock investment contracts for all housing, associated land/buildings, and corporate buildings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* HNC in building related subject. (E)
* Technical member of the RICS (Tech RICS) or relevant construction qualification. (D)
* Knowledge and Skills Required (E)
* Knowledge and understanding of the diverse lifestyles and needs of residents. (E)
* Knowledge of housing, housing law and the regulatory framework. (D)
* Knowledge of repairs and maintenance in the context of social housing. (E)
* Knowledge of the building industry. (E)
* Working to tight deadlines. (E)

* Significant experience in technical surveying, with a strong background in managing maintenance and repairs contracts, ideally within the social housing sector.
* Experience of working with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to manage and deliver building and maintenance projects.
* Strong knowledge in procurement, contract management, and delivering value for money.
* Experience in managing and mentoring trainees or junior surveyors.
* Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards, including health and safety and building regulations.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a variety of stakeholders including residents, contractors, and internal teams.
* Proven experience in managing budgets, contracts, and reporting on performance.
* A strong commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement in service delivery.
