The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Area Housing Manager to join their regional leadership team on an interim basis. This role will oversee operations across South East London and Kent (areas may vary depending on business need).
- Reporting Office: Lewisham or Stratford
- Contract Type: Interim – 12 Weeks initially
- Salary: £55,270 – £61,018 per annum (DOE)
- Persona: Agile Working (60% - 80% remote working)
You will lead high-performing teams and ensure the delivery of responsive, customer-centric tenancy and estate services. This is a crucial leadership role requiring operational excellence, strong stakeholder management and a drive to deliver service improvements.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead and inspire teams delivering tenancy management, tenancy verification and mixed-tenure services.
- Champion customer experience and service improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance across all areas including ASB, safeguarding, estate management and vulnerability.
- Support the financial strength of the organisation through effective resource management and planning.
- Represent organisational values while embedding a culture of excellence and innovation.
What You’ll Bring
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Strong housing sector experience, particularly in tenancy and estate management
- Knowledge of ASB, leasehold management, new build schemes, service charges & safeguarding
- Proven leadership skills with experience developing high-performing teams
- Excellent organisational, reporting and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex, public-facing services in a demanding environment
- Strong stakeholder and relationship-building skills
- Project management experience (desirable)
