We’re recruiting two experienced Building Surveyors to support planned and reactive maintenance across the Brent and Hammersmith & Fulham areas. You’ll work closely with Asset Leads, contractors, and internal teams to ensure that all works are delivered to a high standard, on time, and offer real value for money.

Day Rate: Circa £300 per day (Umbrella), negotiable
Contract: Long-term temporary with potential to become permanent
Locations: Brent Patch or Hammersmith & Fulham Patch

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct full building surveys, preparing technical reports, specifications, recommendations, and cost analysis.
- Manage contractor relationships and resolve operational or contractual issues quickly.
- Oversee delivery of planned and responsive works, including complex repairs and disrepair cases.
- Project manage works related to voids, insurance claims, major incidents (e.g. fire, flooding) and cyclical maintenance.
- Carry out post-inspections to ensure high standards and compliance with organisational, H&S and CDM regulations.
- Investigate service complaints, identify improvements, and ensure residents are kept informed.
- Provide technical advice across a range of residential properties (with occasional commercial).
About You
We’re looking for Surveyors who are confident working independently across a defined patch and can deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service.
Essential:
- Strong experience in building surveying, ideally within housing, local authority or asset management.
- Ability to write clear, detailed technical reports and specifications.
- Knowledge and experience with JCT/NEC contracts.
- Excellent project management capability and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Proficient IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Relevant surveying qualifications or significant practical experience.
Desirable:
- RICS or CIOB membership.
- Degree in building surveying or similar field.
- FRA/DEA training.
- Full UK driving licence.
