Description

We’re excited to be supporting one of London’s leading not-for-profit housing associations in their search for two Commercial Properties Officers. As a proud member of the G15, they provide quality, below-market rent homes for people who may otherwise struggle to afford them. With more than 60,000 homes and thousands more in development, they reinvest their commercial surplus directly into improving communities and expanding affordable housing across the capital.

Their commercial portfolio plays a vital role in creating vibrant, inclusive neighbourhoods - activating spaces through local enterprise, community facilities, and innovative commercial strategies that balance placemaking with financial sustainability.

The Opportunity

As a Commercial Properties Officer, you’ll be part of a dynamic Commercial Properties team responsible for managing and enhancing a varied commercial portfolio across London and parts of the South East. You’ll deliver a high-quality, compliant, and proactive commercial property management service that not only drives income but also supports community wellbeing and long-term placemaking.

This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who is passionate about commercial property, enjoys autonomy across a patch, and wants to join an organisation making a genuine social impact.

Office-based in King’s Cross + London/South East Patch + WFH
£27.48 per hour PAYE / £36.34 per hour Umbrella
Full-time | 35 hours per week | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing a range of commercial properties to a high standard, ensuring tenants receive a professional, personal and compliant service.

  • Supporting local businesses, social enterprises, and community initiatives to maximise social value.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Building Safety, Fire Regulations and all commercial property legislation.
  • Building strong relationships with tenants, internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers.
  • Overseeing repairs, maintenance, cyclical works and complex tenant fit-outs.
  • Managing budgets, service charges, business rates, and supplier contracts.
  • Providing meticulous lease, tenancy and customer record management.
  • Contributing to long-term commercial strategy and asset management planning.

Work Pattern

  • 2 office days per week (Wednesday & Thursday)
  • 2 days on patch across London/South East
  • 1 day flexible (home/office depending on workload)

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience in commercial property or mixed-use management.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage complex tenant needs.
  • Knowledge of landlord/tenant legislation and commercial property regulations.
  • Confident managing contractors, repairs, compliance and commercial budgets.
  • Degree or equivalent experience; professional membership (e.g. RICS) desirable but not essential.
  • IT-literate with solid Microsoft Office skills.
