Description

North West London
£16.48 per hour (£32,132.06 equivalent)
3-Month Temporary Contract (with potential to be extended)

Are you a hands-on Facilities professional with experience supervising buildings, carrying out inspections, or overseeing day-to-day site operations? We're looking for a proactive Facilities Coordinator to join a respected organisation that provides high-quality homes and services, helping to create safe, well-maintained environments for residents and local communities.

This is a fully site-based role where you'll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy residential building. Working closely with the Facilities Manager, you'll be the eyes and ears on site, identifying issues before they become problems and coordinating with contractors to keep everything running efficiently.

The Role

As Facilities Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining Health & Safety records, fire logs and compliance documentation.
  • Carrying out regular inspections of communal areas to identify maintenance or safety issues.
  • Liaising with residents and responding to day-to-day building concerns.
  • Coordinating and monitoring contractors and suppliers on site.
  • Following up on completed maintenance works to ensure a high standard of delivery.
  • Conducting building audits, including storage areas and equipment checks.
  • Reporting and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Supporting the Facilities Manager by proactively identifying operational improvements.

About You

This is a practical, site-based role, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being out on the ground rather than behind a desk. You'll be confident inspecting all areas of a building, including plant rooms, boiler rooms and other operational spaces.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Caretaker, Handyman, Facilities Coordinator, Facilities Assistant, Building Supervisor or in a similar property maintenance role.
  • Basic Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) knowledge.
  • An IOSH qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with contractors and residents.
  • A proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.

What's on Offer

  • £16.48 per hour (£32,132.06 annual equivalent).
  • Initial 3-month temporary contract, with the possibility of extension.
  • Monday to Friday, fully site-based (no hybrid working).
  • Full training on systems, compliance and internal processes.
  • Opportunity to gain experience within a well-established organisation committed to delivering safe, high-quality homes and services.

If you're a practical facilities professional who enjoys solving problems, working on site and taking ownership of building operations, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today with your up-to-date CV.
