Description

We’re looking for an experienced Fire Risk Officer to join a large, well-established G15 Housing Association, playing a vital role in keeping residents safe and buildings compliant. 

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll take ownership of fire safety actions, manage contractors, and work closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and residents to deliver a high-quality, value-for-money service.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing primarily two passive fire contractors, ensuring fire risk actions are completed efficiently, safely, and within agreed timeframes.

  • Pay: £23.03 per hour PAYE / £30.46 per hour Umbrella
  • Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days from home 
  • Location: Kings Cross or Hammersmith 
  • Contract: Ongoing temp-contract 
  • Shift options: 8:00am – 4:00pm / 8:30am – 4:30pm / 9:00am – 5:00pm

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and managing Fire Risk Assessment actions through to completion
  • Leading regular, structured contract review meetings, scrutinising KPIs and addressing health & safety matters
  • Holding contractors to account and driving performance
  • Providing clear guidance to colleagues, contractors, stakeholders, and residents on fire safety actions
  • Managing financial processes including raising and receipting purchase orders and ensuring timely contractor payments
  • Supporting delivery of services that meet budget expectations and offer value for money

About You

We’re looking for someone confident, organised, and knowledgeable in fire safety and compliance.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Proven experience in contract management, stakeholder engagement, project coordination, or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of fire risk and relevant statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • The ability to build strong working relationships and manage multiple priorities
