Description

This role sits within one of the UK’s largest and most established housing providers, supporting thousands of residents across London and beyond. The organisation is community-focused, purpose-driven and committed to creating safe, well-managed neighbourhoods where people genuinely enjoy living. You’ll be joining a values-led environment where customer service, accountability and local presence really matter.

The role

We’re looking for an experienced Neighbourhood Manager to provide hands-on estate and housing management support during a period of change within the team. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who can hit the ground running, manage competing priorities, and confidently deal with day-to-day neighbourhood challenges.

You’ll be a visible presence on estates, acting as the main point of contact for residents, partners and internal teams, while ensuring homes are safe, compliant and well-managed.

  • Location: Hybrid, London (office based near Westminster Bridge, with regular estate visits)
  • Contract: Temporary - Initially
  • Pay: £21.86 per hour PAYE (equivalent to £40,921 per annum)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality neighbourhood and estate management services
  • Act as the local, face-to-face point of contact for residents
  • Manage tenancy issues including successions, viewings and compliance matters
  • Carry out inspections and ensure properties and estates meet required standards
  • Resolve resident queries efficiently, aiming for “right first time” outcomes
  • Identify and support vulnerable residents, escalating safeguarding concerns where appropriate
  • Work closely with specialist teams (ASB, legal, income, resident support, estate services)
  • Maintain accurate records across digital housing management systems
  • Represent the organisation positively within the community and at local meetings
  • Support wider community engagement and resident involvement initiatives

About you

You’ll be someone who is confident working independently, comfortable making decisions, and experienced in managing estates within a housing environment.

Essential experience:

  • Proven experience in a Neighbourhood Manager or Estate Manager role
  • Strong understanding of housing and estate management processes
  • Confident using digital housing systems and carrying out inspections
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and work under pressure

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of UK housing law
  • Housing qualification (e.g. CIOH)
  • Experience working with diverse communities
  • Additional community language skills
