We’re delighted to be supporting one of London’s leading not-for-profit housing associations, a proud member of the G15 and a key provider of affordable, below-market rent homes across the capital. With over 60,000 homes and thousands more in development, they reinvest their commercial surpluses to improve housing quality and support communities across London.

We’re now looking for an experienced Residence Officer to join their Commercial Operations team and play a vital frontline role in delivering high-quality housing management services.

About the Role

As a Residence Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for residents, ensuring an exceptional standard of service across tenancy management, maintenance, and estate oversight. You’ll play an essential part in keeping schemes safe, well-maintained, and running smoothly- directly influencing resident satisfaction and the organisation’s operational success.

This is a hands-on, resident-focused role where no two days are the same, and where your work has a direct and meaningful impact on people’s daily lives.

Role title: Residence Officer – WC1N, London
Contract: Ongoing Temporary (Initial 2-month assignment)
Rate: £22.27 per hour PAYE / £29.45 per hour Umbrella

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the dedicated point of contact for residents, managing all tenancy-related matters with professionalism and empathy.
  • Ensure high maintenance standards by conducting regular property and estate inspections and taking proactive action.
  • Oversee void management, ensuring properties are ready for re-let efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to meet contractual requirements.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance resident engagement, community feel, and overall satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance with all organisational and statutory policies, including health & safety and financial procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong housing management and property/asset management experience.
  • Proven ability to boost resident satisfaction and contribute to operational performance.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Confident IT user (Microsoft Office and housing management systems).
  • Someone dependable, compassionate, and proactive - aligned with the organisation’s core values.
  • Ability to pass a Basic DBS check.

If you’re passionate about delivering impactful housing services and want to join a purpose-driven organisation committed to supporting communities across London, we’d love to hear from you.
