We’re recruiting a Service Charge & Rent Analyst to join a well-established, resident-focused housing organisation with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality homes and services across the UK. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive finance team during a key period of year-end reconciliation and preparation for the new financial year.
The role
This role will play a key part in clearing service charge backlogs, supporting year-end reconciliations, and ensuring service charge data is accurate, compliant, and ready for rent setting. You’ll work closely with managers and colleagues across the business to meet critical deadlines and support day-to-day service charge queries.
- Pay: £21.15 per hour PAYE / £27.31 per hour Umbrella
- Contract: 3-month temporary initially (with likely extensions)
- Hybrid: 4 days from home, 1 day in office
- Location: Camden, London
Key responsibilities
- Completing service charge reconciliations across multiple financial years (primarily 2024/25 and 2025/26)
- Supporting budget checks and reviewing service charge estimates and correspondence
- Maintaining accurate records across internal systems
- Responding to internal queries and supporting compliance with statutory and organisational deadlines
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to meet project and business objectives
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in service charge analysis (rent knowledge is beneficial but not essential)
- Strong understanding of year-end reconciliation processes
- Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Good IT skills; experience with housing systems such as Open or Salesforce is desirable but not essential
