Description

Talent Acquisition Assistant

  • Location: King's Cross, London
  • Contract: Temporary, ongoing
  • Pay: £25.84 per hour
  • Working arrangement: Hybrid, with 2 days per week in the office Monday to Thursday
  • Start date: End of August / beginning of September 2026

A London-based housing organisation is looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Assistant to support a busy in-house recruitment function on an ongoing temporary basis.

This role will suit someone who enjoys being close to the detail of recruitment delivery: coordinating interviews, supporting campaigns, keeping candidate and vacancy records accurate, and helping hiring managers and candidates move smoothly through each stage of the process. It is a highly candidate-facing role, so clear communication, strong organisation and a calm, helpful approach will be important.

Why consider this role?

The role offers the chance to support recruitment for an organisation with a clear social purpose, helping teams bring in the people needed to deliver services for residents and communities across London.

You will be joining a recruitment environment where accuracy, pace and stakeholder management matter. The work is varied, covering advert posting, interview coordination, candidate communication, recruitment records, right-to-work processes and campaign support.

It is also a good fit for someone who wants to use their recruitment coordination experience in a large, structured organisation, with regular contact across candidates, hiring managers and internal stakeholders.

What you will be doing

You will support recruitment activity from advert stage through to offer and onboarding, keeping the process organised and candidates well informed.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating interviews across multiple stakeholders and complex diaries
  • Maintaining accurate recruitment records on an Applicant Tracking System
  • Supporting right-to-work checks and UK visa sponsorship processes
  • Writing and posting job adverts
  • Managing recruitment data and reporting using Microsoft Excel
  • Liaising directly with candidates and hiring managers to support a positive candidate experience

What they are looking for

You will need previous experience in a Talent Acquisition Assistant, Recruitment Coordinator, Recruitment Administrator or similar recruitment support role. This could have been gained in an in-house recruitment team, RPO/MSP environment, recruitment agency support function or another setting with strong recruitment coordination exposure.

Essential experience includes:

  • Strong interview scheduling experience across multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ATS experience and accurate recruitment record keeping
  • Understanding of right-to-work checks and UK visa sponsorship processes
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills, including recruitment data and reporting
  • Experience writing and posting adverts
  • Experience supporting recruitment campaigns from advert through to offer and onboarding

You should be highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities. The organisation is particularly interested in someone who can spot issues early, improve processes where possible and provide a strong service to candidates and hiring managers.

Experience supporting high-volume recruitment campaigns would be useful, as would experience in housing, the public sector or a large corporate environment.

This role will not suit a general administrator without recruitment experience, or someone whose HR administration background has focused mainly on employee lifecycle or HR operations rather than recruitment.

The role is based from the King's Cross office on a hybrid basis, with 2 office days per week to be worked Monday to Thursday. This arrangement is non-negotiable. Candidates should also be aware that shortlisting is expected on 17 August, with face-to-face interviews ideally taking place on the morning of 19 August and the afternoon of 20 August.

If your experience matches what they are looking for, please apply as soon as possible. We will review applications promptly and contact suitable candidates to discuss the role in more detail.
