Housing Officer - Lambeth
Location: Office and patch based in Lambeth (with very occasional travel to King’s Cross)
Pay: £28.56 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: 6-month temporary contract (likely ongoing)
The Role
We are working with a leading G15 housing organisation to recruit a proactive Housing Officer (Level 2) to manage a defined patch in Lambeth. The G15 represents London’s largest housing associations, collectively providing homes to hundreds of thousands of residents across the capital and playing a key role in improving housing standards and communities.

You will take ownership of your patch, ensuring estates are well maintained, residents feel supported, and issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for residents, providing a visible and responsive housing management service
- Manage a patch of properties, ensuring excellent standards of estate management, repairs, cleaning and grounds maintenance
- Investigate and resolve tenancy and neighbourhood issues including ASB, safeguarding concerns and complaints
- Carry out estate inspections to ensure properties meet health & safety standards
- Work collaboratively with managing agents, contractors and internal teams to improve service delivery
- Manage and communicate service charges effectively and transparently
- Represent the resident voice, ensuring feedback drives continuous improvement
- Ensure KPIs are met across customer satisfaction, compliance and operational performance
- Support delivery of community initiatives, engagement events and local forums
About You
We are looking for someone with strong housing or customer-focused experience who is confident managing a varied workload and building positive relationships with residents and stakeholders.
You will demonstrate:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and investigative ability
- Confidence managing complaints, ASB cases and tenancy matters
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive and resident-focused approach
- Previous housing experience is desirable
