Housing Officer Level 3 - General Needs

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer Level 3 to join a leading housing provider on an urgent temporary contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and experienced Housing Officer who can hit the ground running, take ownership of a busy patch and provide a high-quality housing management service to residents.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a housing patch covering Hillingdon and Hounslow, balancing tenancy management, resident engagement and enforcement responsibilities.
You will be expected to work proactively across your patch, dealing with a range of tenancy and neighbourhood issues while ensuring residents receive a professional and responsive service.
- Manage a designated patch of properties and maintain effective tenancy management.
- Carry out tenancy visits, estate inspections and resident appointments.
- Manage tenancy breaches, ASB, rent arrears and other tenancy-related issues.
- Take appropriate enforcement action where required.
- Work closely with residents to resolve issues and sustain successful tenancies.
- Investigate and respond to complaints and enquiries.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and housing management systems.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and make appropriate referrals.
- Attend meetings, appointments and inspections as required.
- Ensure all housing management activity complies with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone who is immediately available and able to get up to speed quickly.
- Previous experience working as a Housing Officer or similar.
- Strong experience within social housing, housing associations or local authorities.
- A solid understanding of tenancy management and housing legislation.
- Experience managing ASB, arrears, tenancy breaches and enforcement.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The confidence to manage challenging situations and difficult conversations.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
