Neighbourhood Housing Lead
£37,451 (temp equivalent) | Initial 3-month contract (likely ongoing) | 60–80% remote | Newham patch | Stratford office base

Our client, a leading Housing Association is seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Housing Lead to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused housing management service across a Newham patch. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation committed to strong communities, resident voice, and continuous service improvement.

Working as the primary relationship holder for residents, you’ll take ownership of tenancy and neighbourhood matters, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently while building trust and engagement across your patch.

This role offers a strong level of flexibility with 60–80% remote working, balanced with on-site presence across the patch and occasional visits to the Stratford office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for residents across your patch, ensuring a responsive and high-quality housing management service
  • Build strong relationships with residents, acting as their advocate and ensuring their voices are heard
  • Manage tenancy matters including ASB, tenancy breaches, safeguarding concerns and resident support referrals
  • Conduct estate inspections, tenancy audits and ensure communal areas meet required standards
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors and external partners including local authorities and community stakeholders
  • Support the resolution of complaints, service charge queries and local environmental issues such as fly-tipping or abandoned vehicles
  • Identify risks and ensure compliance actions (including fire safety) are completed within timescales
  • Attend resident meetings, forums and multi-agency discussions where required 

Requirements

  • Strong experience in housing management / neighbourhood management
  • Knowledge of tenancy management, ASB, safeguarding and resident engagement
  • Experience working with diverse communities and complex casework
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously across patch
  • Confident communicator able to build trust and influence positive outcomes
  • Understanding of housing regulations, compliance and customer service best practice
