- Regular social events and team get-togethers

- A supportive, people-first culture where expertise and professional growth are genuinely valued
This is a good move for someone who wants to build a long-term career within fire engineering, not just move from one project list to another.
The role
As Senior Fire Engineer, you will deliver fire engineering and fire strategy services across a broad range of residential, commercial and mixed-use buildings.
The role is hybrid, with time split between client sites, remote report writing and occasional attendance at the company’s Central London office. Most work will be across London and the South East, although some UK-wide travel may be required.
You will be responsible for producing fire strategy reports for new and existing buildings, preparing fire safety management plans, carrying out site inspections and providing clear technical fire safety advice to clients.
Your work will include advising on fire spread, means of escape, smoke control, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, Fire Service access, emergency planning, safe occupancy and the practical application of current fire safety legislation and guidance.
You will work closely with clients, architects, local authorities, building control professionals and wider project teams, helping them make informed decisions that support safety, compliance and practical delivery.
The role will also involve contributing to client relationships, proposals, project planning, quality standards and the support of junior colleagues.
What we are looking for
You will need:
- Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers, MIFireE
- A BEng, BSc or MSc in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety
- At least five years’ experience in a similar fire engineering role
- Proven experience producing fire strategy reports
- Experience delivering fire consultancy services across residential and commercial buildings
- Strong knowledge of Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 9991 and current fire safety legislation and guidance
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Good client-facing and communication skills
- The ability to manage workload, deadlines, project quality and client expectations
This role would suit a technically strong Fire Engineer who enjoys consultancy work, wants exposure to a broad range of buildings and clients, and is looking for a company where they can continue to grow professionally.
Why apply?
Fire safety remains one of the most important areas in the built environment. Clients need clear, practical and technically sound advice, and this company has built a strong reputation by providing exactly that.
You will be joining a respected consultancy with experienced colleagues, established systems, a strong client base and a culture that supports development, wellbeing and progression.
For a Fire Engineer based in the South East who wants flexibility, support, variety and genuine career growth, this is an excellent opportunity.
