Project Manager – Strategic Planning & Transformation

£500–£600 per day | 4-month contract | Hybrid London

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a large, established housing organisation undergoing a period of significant transformation and service improvement.

This is a manager-level project delivery role within the organisation’s Strategic Planning & Transformation function, supporting complex change programmes designed to improve services, processes and customer outcomes.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a confident Project Manager with 5+ years’ experience delivering large, complex projects, ideally with experience managing projects valued at £1m+.

A particularly strong background would include recent experience of implementing or improving complaints processes, ideally within a housing/social housing environment and with exposure to Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

You’ll take ownership of projects from planning through to implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex transformation and change projects.
  • Establish effective project governance, reporting structures, milestones and controls.
  • Develop and manage robust project plans, business cases and budgets.
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies and project governance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define scope, benefits and expected outcomes.
  • Lead requirements gathering, testing, training and implementation of new systems and processes.
  • Manage and coordinate project resources, including Business Analysts and other specialist teams.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and influence across the organisation.
  • Manage suppliers, procurement activity and contract relationships.
  • Ensure projects deliver measurable business and service improvements.
  • Provide clear reporting and communicate complex information effectively.

About You

You’ll ideally have:

  • 5+ years’ Project Management experience delivering complex projects.
  • Experience managing projects/programmes of £1m+ value.
  • Recent experience delivering complaints transformation, complaints process improvement or customer service change.
  • Experience within social housing/housing or a closely related public-sector environment.
  • Ideally, experience working with MS Dynamics CRM or similar CRM platforms.
  • Strong experience of change management, systems/process implementation and operational transformation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience managing suppliers, procurement and contracts.
  • Strong governance, reporting, risk and budget management experience.
  • A recognised project/change management qualification such as PRINCE2, APMG or MSP is desirable. The role profile specifically identifies project/change management qualifications as part of the essential criteria.

Contract & Working Pattern

Duration: Initial 4-month temporary assignment
Rate: £71.43–£85.71 per hour Umbrella
Equivalent day rate: £500–£600 per day Umbrella (Outside IR35/Ltd welcome)
Working: Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week in the main office.

If you’re an experienced Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering complex transformation projects and have particularly relevant complaints / Dynamics CRM / housing experience, we’d be keen to hear from you.
